T.M.A.R.C. was set up with European Refugee funding to provide a 'One -Stop' shop within Thanet for those seeking asylum in the UK. Since 2001 the 'One-Stop' shop has acted as a focal point for various statutory and voluntary agencies able to offer assistance and counselling to those seeking asylum. A 'self-help' culture has developed so that progressively those offering guidance and support will come from the refugee community through the process of education and support.

Our mission statement reads:
To assist in facilitating reception, advice, support education and employment opportunities as appropriate, to anyone in need of these services in Thanet.

We number up to 21 agencies within the community at large and bring a wealth of experience, knowledge, and skills to the centre.

Monthly Agency Forum meetings (second Wednesday in the month) are chaired by the agencies themselves and include a Guest Speaker who may be nominated by invited parties.
